Bulgarian Cricket Federation

The Bulgarian Cricket Federation (BCF) was established in 2002 and serves as the official governing body for cricket in Bulgaria. Recognized by the Bulgarian Ministry of Youth and Sport, the BCF prioritizes youth development. Its dedicated efforts were acknowledged internationally when it became an associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2008. In 2009, Bulgarian cricket saw significant growth, with ten new clubs joining the BCF, expanding the sport’s reach across the country.

Since 2010, BCF has regularly participated in various cricket initiatives organized by the ICC in Europe. In 2020, 2021, and 2022, BCF hosted the European T10 Cricket Series, which was broadcast live online in over 80 countries. The T20 format, which is part of the 2028 Olympic Games program, has also been a focus of the federation.

Serbian Cricket Federation

The Serbian Cricket Federation (SCF) was founded in October 2009 in Belgrade. As the central authority for cricket development in Serbia, SCF oversees seven active clubs and the territorial association of Belgrade. Since its inception, SCF has placed a strong emphasis on cricket development among minority groups, low-income citizens, and displaced persons. In 2014, SCF supported the founding of the Cricket Club Bodrog in Bački Monoštor, Serbia’s first Roma cricket club to compete in the top tier of the competition.

Since 2020, SCF has been involved in the INAMOS project, which focuses on integrating internally displaced persons through sport. In 2023, SCF became the coordinator of the ERASMUS+ funded project CRICLUSION, which aims to promote inclusion for newly arrived migrants by organizing cricket events that foster participation alongside local communities, while combating discrimination and intolerance towards migrants and other vulnerable groups.
